Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week at Smith School

WHAT IS RED RIBBON WEEK?
It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against substance abuse. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon. In Kinder we talk about not eating 'pretty candies' as they may be a prescription drug, that alcohol and tobacco are drugs because you can get addicted to it and it is really hard to stop.
Smith students are encouraged to join us in a week of activities -

Please check Smith PTA site for activities and days
- Red wristbands are handed out. Students wear them all week long. Discounts are given at Baskin Robbins, Carl's Jr., Papa John's Pizza Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Subway, and Boomers if you show your wristbands.

- PTA is sponsoring a No Bullying Assembly during school hours.

 - Sock it to Drugs Day - wear crazy socks to school

 - Wear Red Day
